Katherine McAllister is a civil engineer at George, Miles & Buhr LLC (GMB) located in Salisbury MD. She has worked in the Water & Wastewater Division for 16 years and is a Senior Project Manager/ Vice President of the company.
I work daily with a number of long standing municipal clients including the City of Fruitland. I have the opportunity to develop engineering projects that will have a positive impact to our community and the health of the environment. Every project is different and has its own challenges but the overall goal is to be at the forefront of technology while improving public health and the environment. Interesting, Challenging, and Rewarding are the three words that Katherine uses to describe working at GMB. Katherine enjoys the relationships she has with her clients and watching projects develop from the planning stages through construction.
My favorite project has been working with Wicomico County, MD and the City of Fruitland, MD to providing safe drinking water to over 300 County residents that discovered contamination in their individual drinking wells.
When not working, Katherine likes to golf, enjoy the beach and snow ski. She also likes to read and spend time with her family. Katherine has been married to her husband, Brian, for twelve wonderful years. Together, they have one son who is 9 years old and they live in Bishopville MD. She has grown up on the Eastern Shore and loves the natural beauty of this area.
